He was awarded the GSC from Sherburne School in the United Kingdom in 1997.

He graduated from Sandhurst Royal Military Academy in 1998.

His responsibilities include:
- Chairman of Qatar National Olympic Committee.
- Member of the International Olympic Committee.
- Member of the “Sports for All” Committee of the International Olympic Committee.
- Chairman of the Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee [DAGOC], 2006.
H.H. participated in several regional and international conferences and accompanied H.H. the Emir on several official missions.
